Portsmouth Counselling Service
How we can help
Counselling is about helping you feel supported in making sense of your thoughts and feelings. You can then make choices about what to do to bring about changes in your life.
About us
Portsmouth Counselling Service (PCS) is recognised and widely respected as a service of excellence for its counselling work. All weekly counselling that takes place at PCS is undertaken by highly trained volunteer counsellors who attend regular supervision and in-house training to ensure the professional development of the team. Clients' suitability for counselling is assessed by a small team of specially trained assessment counsellors.
Contact us
Please contact us if you would like to receive counselling, and you will be offered an initial assessment session. This is not a free service, but fees payable are related to your financial situation.
Specialised Counselling Projects and Training
PCS has specialised teams of counsellors working with addiction, domestic violence and older people issues. We also offer counselling with interpreters, provide interpreter training and run a Basic Counselling Skills course.
