Mission Statement
To provide an affordable and professional counselling service to all communities and individuals
in Portsmouth and surrounding areas, but especially to those people suffering poverty and exclusion
and whose lives are marginalised and outside mainstream.
Domestic Violence Counselling
Free of charge counselling available
Counselling for Domestic Violence is available at PCS through referral from the Early Intervention Team.
If you suffer domestic violence please contact the Early Intervention Team for help and support.
You can discuss counselling support, and if appropriate, you can be referred to PCS for 10 counselling sessions free of cost.
Please note that the counselling is not a ‘one off’ crisis intervention but takes place on a weekly basis
at a set time and date. Counselling is about helping you feel supported in making sense of your thoughts and feelings.
You can then make choices about what to do to bring about changes in your life.
Please contact us for more information and a brochure, or talk to a member of Portsmouth’s Early Intervention Team for help and advice.
Consider
Counselling gives you a safe place to talk and is an opportunity to have a
positive non-judgemental relationship.
Client's Feedback
"I have been able to relieve myself of the past and completely turn my life around for the
better. If anyone ever has as many problems as I had then I will thoroughly recommend that
they get referred to have counselling, it does wonders - Thank you."
